Nice sunset, shame about the view. 10.20pm, 17/07/00 ~ from Cruach Innse. I think the gleam of water may be Loch Arkaig. A largely overcast sky with a clear slot in the west can produce the most jaw-dropping sunsets. The finest example I ever saw was, unhelpfully, when I was visiting the old John Brown's shipyard (then UIE) in Clydebank. A driech December afternoon was transformed for a few minutes into an astonishing light show as the setting sun underlit the 99% cloud cover.
Some shots taken on an ascent of Ben Nevis by Tower Ridge on 15/08/10, with Sonya and Rebekah. On the path from the North Face car park. 8.50am
