Between 1872 and 1893 the SCWS built three massive and lavishly designed (as usual, by Bruce and Hay) warehouse blocks on the south side of Morrison St, two of which, the central and west, have been preserved as offices and apartments. This eastern building, between Paterson, Wallace and Laidlaw Sts, has been replaced by a modern apartment block.
